‪Barath Udayasurya, Taking a Closer Look at Cancer Research

‪Barath Udayasurya, a 2022 PhD graduate in Biomedical Engineering is part of the Verbridge Lab. His cancer research focuses on the presence of bacteria in the tumor microbiome, and how it impacts patient progression. Barath credits collaboration across departments as a key to his success at Virginia Tech and views collaboration as a necessary component of improving healthcare.
