Visual Storytelling
(Presented by Ray Meese, associate director, visual content)
Some of the most iconic images ever made were out of focus, poorly exposed, or lacked good composition — but they told an important story. For one hour, we'll set aside the technical aspects of photography and video production to talk about multimedia from a storytelling perspective, crafting a visual narrative, and the key elements of successful imagery. You'll learn about best practices so that we might maintain a consistent look and feel across all Virginia Tech photography and videos. Additionally, we'll discuss the critical step of selecting the best images to tell a given story.
