Junho Kweon- November 7 , 2022
Junho Kweon, an international student from South Korea, shared his experiences growing up in a small town in South Korea, celebrating holidays with his family, and transitioning to studying at Penn State University in the United States. He discussed the differences between the education systems in Korea and the U.S., noting that the interactive and discussion-based approach in the U.S. Was a significant adjustment from the more lecture-focused and competitive environment in korea. Kweon also described the challenges he faced as an international student, such as navigating banking and housing, and provided suggestions for how Penn State could better support international students.
