This webinar is part of the Virginia Master Naturalist Continuing Education series.
Description: Our climate is changing and so is the story we're sharing with our audiences. The National Network of Climate Change Interpreter's (NNOCCI) goal is to establish a national network of professionals who are skilled in communicating climate science to the American public. Join Sarah Nuss, Education Coordinator from the Chesapeake Bay Virginia NERRs to learn about the NNOCCI study circles - what it is, why it's useful, and some basic tips to use with your audiences. Participants will be introduced to the elements of strategic framing - a research-based communication tool. Strategic framing helps you tell a story about climate change, to engage audiences in thinking productively, and to overcome traditional barriers when thinking about solutions.
Presenter: Sarah Nuss, Education Coordinator, Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve
