Brandy Faulkner, the Gloria D. Smith Professor of Black Studies, discusses her research for the inaugural Juneteenth Scholars program in the Virginia Tech College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences. She investigated grassroots organizing and youth-led social movements, primarily interested in how Black students at predominantly white institutions were navigating their social justice efforts. This was part of the 2021 State of the College presentation.
