SciVal is a research impact analysis tool that harnesses bibliometric and scientometric data from Scopus. In this workshop, you will learn the basics of creating groups of researchers/authors in SciVal to analyze, visualizing and downloading the data, reviewing trends, benchmarking authors, groups, and institutions to one another; analyzing existing collaborations, and finding potential collaborators.
Attendees will be able to:
Create groups of authors, either through importing through Scopus or through a spreadsheet template
Add those groups to a dashboard
Use the dashboard groups to analyze and visualize citation data, economic impact, institutional collaborations, and corporate collaborations
Comparisons can be made across disciplines, fields, and sub-fields with the Field-Normalized Citation Impact metric, which normalizes for field citation trends, publication year, and document type.
