Description: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Wildlife Services (WS) program has been working with federal, state, and local agencies; as well as private individuals to address specific localized feral swine damage problems in Virginia. The presentation will update the status of feral swine in Virginia as well as highlight WS’s management plans and outreach goals to achieve a feral swine free Virginia.
Presenter: Chad Forehand, Staff Wildlife Biologist for the USDA Wildlife Services-Virginia, graduated from Virginia Tech with a Wildlife Sciences Bachelor’s degree and has spent the past 7 years working with USDA Wildlife Services. He is currently serving as the Feral Hog Coordinator for Virginia.
