Virginia Master Naturalist Continuing Education Webinar, presented by Elise Trelegan (NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office.)  The Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience (MWEE) is an approach to teaching and learning upon which environmental literacy programming can be built.  MWEEs are three-dimensional learner-centered experiences that focus on investigations into local environmental issues that lead to informed action and civic engagement. The MWEE model does not occur in isolation - it takes support from school divisions, non-profits, natural resource agencies, universities, and volunteers to make these experiences truly transformational. During this webinar we will discuss the MWEE framework and resources that can help you to cater your teaching and program development to best support this approach.
