This session talks about the amazing scenery in Virginia and programs that can help identify, recognize, and contribute to the protection of these often overlooked resources. As part of the presentation you can participate in providing data on scenic views for ongoing work being done by Scenic Virginia.
Presenter
Lynn Crump is a registered landscape architect whose career spans planning, multi-disciplinary engineering, landscape construction, and nursery work. Since starting at the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), her responsibilities include reaching out to localities to help with planning of recreation and protection of scenic assets. Her involvement with environmental permit review involves impacts to recreation and scenic assets of the Commonwealth. Lynn administers the Virginia scenic river program, works in collaboration with VDOT on the Virginia byways program and is the scenic resources specialist for Virginia and the Virginia Outdoors Plan. Other than scenic resources responsibilities, Lynn Is a state park master planner, specializing in new park development. Lynn is active with the American Society of Landscape Architects and has served the organization in local and national level leadership positions.
