This session is about communicating your research/work effectively and talking to the public. By the time you leave this session, you will have a 1-minute speech that effectively communicates your work/research, and why it is relevant to others. We will also be sharing best public speaking practices and how to make stronger connections with your audience.
Note: around 54 minutes, the f.lux program became enabled again and the screen turns a bit yellow/orange - apologies!
Also, skip to the 10 min mark to skip introductions of everyone. There are two "work-on-your-own" activities for about 10 min each. I recommend you use the worksheet to do the activity as well as if you were in the class, available at http://bit.ly/CommResearchWorksheet. Slides: http://bit.ly/CommResearchSlides
