Students and recent alumni talk about their first days on campus. "My
first days at Virginia Tech weren't exactly happy–they were just kind of
like 'this is kind of awkward.' I'm in a new place without my family. I
had some of my high school friends, but not really. But I also didn't
want to look like that freshman who didn't know where anything is..."
Because of this time of physical distancing and remote
communication, all interviews were self-recorded on the interviewee's
own phone and uploaded for Virginia Tech Communications and Hokie
Wellness staff to edit.
