Researchers are finding that many apps and new third-party technologies available could be incorporated into research protocols to collect data from human subjects. Examples of these apps include but are not limited to, technologies that collect information about daily meditation practices, fitness and activity levels, cell phone use activity, computer use habits, daily glucose levels, etc. This presentation will explore real-world examples and provide researchers with information they need to make well-informed decisions when selecting third-party technologies for research data collection.
